I am so excited about this Chicago engagement session!
This went so well and was a nice call back to my pre-wedding photographer days, where I would spend hours just wandering the city and taking photos for fun. Even better was the fact that Steve and Kenzie really never spend time in Chicago, so they were super open to anywhere I wanted to go. We ended up doing like a instagram famous location tour of downtown chicago starting at London House, then onto State Street for the Chicago theatre sign (both sides!), Alexander Calder's Flamingo sculpture, The Chicago Board of Trade where they filmed the Batman vs Joker seen in The Dark Knight, and finally a very famous staircase that I don't have the name for. Needless to say, they saw so many different locations I'm expecting an angry letter from the Chicago Bus tours for stepping in on their turf. Steve and Kenzie actually won this session on my instagram... (shameless plug) instagram.com/royserafinphotoco I fully expected the session to be maybe an hour or so, but after hearing they had never really explored Chicago I thought I'd give the the full two hour experience. After exploring the city we went over to Starbucks and I grabbed my basic Peppermint Hot Chocolate and we started talking wedding day details.
Oh... And every single location here costs $0 to shoot, except london house which just asks that you not interrupt other guests and buy a drink. #worthit
